Achieving Your Goals

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Are you achieving the goals you have set for yourself in 2018?

I am actually not much of a goal setter. Why, you ask? Because my goals are usually too unrealistic for me to achieve. However, I am learning from my mistakes, and I am hoping that I can set more realistic goals for my future.

Do you have any thoughts to share about achieving your own goals?

Prayer:

Lord Jesus,

Help to set realistic goals in alignment with your plans for my future. Join me as I walk with you, and talk with you, along the way. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.

Breakfast Prayer

Lord Jesus,

My desire is to start my day in the right direction, so I want to thank you for this food. May you bless this breakfast to strengthen my body, sharpen my mind, and to give me more energy to move.

Along with this food, may you also provide me with food for thought, so that my soul can be nourished by your presence.

Today, I also want to connect with you in praise, to draw closer to you in awareness, and to be empowered by your Word, so that I can know you more fully.

Thank you Lord Jesus, Amen.

The Best Thing In Life

Sorry coffee drinkers. I mean no offense, but the best thing in life is not a hot beverage that you drink. Rather, it’s the person who offers you life, namely Jesus Christ. So, as you enjoy your coffee today, remember His great love for you.

God proves His own love for us in this: While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

Thank you, Jesus that we can enjoy our coffee today, because you have given us life, and this life is found in your name. Amen.

Choosing Your Path

How do I know what direction to take?

  1. When choosing your direction, never walk alone. Living without God was part of your old nature, but you have been born-again, so as a new creation you are now designed to walk with your Creator.
  2. Choose to pray as you follow God’s direction, because His ways are higher than your ways, and His thoughts are higher than your thoughts.
  3. His ways always lead to life, so look for life as you go, because the contrary way of man, in His unredeemed state may seem right, but it will always lead to death.
  4. Trust God to guide you, as you trust Him with all of your heart, staying away from your own understanding, but rather leaning on Him, so that He can set your path straight.

Prayer:

God, forgive me for walking in my own ways. Instead, I choose to acknowledge your ways, so that I can understand what I am missing in my life. Thank you. Amen.
