Be Filled With Joy

be filled with joy

Psalm 100 – A psalm for giving grateful praise.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Today, I pray that God would fill you with His great joy, for it comes from the Holy Spirit, and it is always His delight to strengthen you. If you are feeling anxious, then let His joy bring consolation to your soul (Ps. 94:19), and during moments of grief, remember that no one can steal His joy from you.

If your faith is being tested, then rejoice, because the testing of your faith produces perseverance, and when perseverance has finished its work you will be mature and complete, lacking nothing, and if you ever need wisdom, just ask God, who generously gives you what you need, without finding any fault in you (James 1:2-5).

His joy is your strength through any difficulty, your consolation prize whenever your soul feels troubled, and your reward for trusting and believing in Him.

Remember, that the prospects for you, as a righteous branch in Him, is joy (Proverbs 10:28).

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.(1 Peter 1:8-9)

Prayer:

Lord Jesus,

Let the joy of your salvation be revealed within every believer. May your joy wipe away any tears of sadness, bring comfort to anyone who is feeling defeated, and bring peace to anyone who is feeling afraid.

You know exactly how to minister into the lives of your sheep, so may your presence, along with the willingness of their hearts, reveal your profound joy within them. Amen.
