The Gay Lifestyle

why be gay

I guess I don’t understand the gay lifestyle, because when it comes to addressing it from a biblical standpoint, I see nothing that supports it.

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate [by perversion], nor those who participate in homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers [whose words are used as weapons to abuse, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or slander], nor swindlers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

As noted in the scripture above, there are many examples of unrighteous behaviour, including homosexuality, and God warns us not to be lead astray by such practices.

Feel free to leave me a comment with your thoughts.

Lord Jesus,

For me, this issue is black and white. Either we confess our unrighteousness and receive your forgiveness, or we remain in our sins and estranged from you. The choice is ours, life or death, and you know our heart’s desire in this way, so I pray that we would choose life, and be made right with you. Amen.

Thanks, David. This is a tricky one because the LGBT community argues they don’t choose the lifestyle, it chooses them. Some people seem to be more inclined towards homosexuality because of the way they were raised and family dynamics. Sinful behaviors impact others. I had some ramblings on this topic last July.

Thank you, Tom, and I am glad that you added your post, for others to see. I enjoyed reading it, and I hope others will, as well.
