The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:11)
The Lord promises to take care of us if we do what is right in His eyes. This passage of scripture is taken during a time in Israel’s history when the Lord remained true to His word, even though Israel had fallen away. The Lord had seen right through them and noticed how their words were not lining up with their actions.
So, today let us be people of our word, for the Lord is our example. He always follows through with what He says, and just as He promised Israel, He also promises us as a wild branch grafted into the true Vine (Jesus Christ), that He will remain faithful to water our gardens, every day.
May you continue to guide us as our Gentle Shepperd and forgive us for our rebellious ways. May we be known as people of the Way, who do not go astray, but who do what they say, just as you do. Thank you for your continued mercy and grace, as you deliver us from our own disobedience and set us free to be directed by you. Amen.
