Losing A Part Of Yourself

losing a part of yourself

God has compassion on those who have had an abortion, for He knows the decision you have made, the pain that you feel, and the loss you are experiencing.

In the midst of all of this, God still desires to redeem your life, by giving you a hope and a future. He can help you to process your thoughts, spend time with you while you grieve, and give you opportunities to share your hidden pain.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus,

Please make yourself known to anyone who has ever had an abortion. Help them to express their pain, share their sorrow, and acknowledge their grief. As a mother never forgets a child they have carried, you also never forget the ones you have loved.

Bring your words of comfort to ease their sorrow, your closeness to cover their shame, and your peace to calm their troubled hearts.

In the days ahead, reveal yourself as the author of life. Show them how to find rest for their souls (Matthew 11:28-29), teach them how to wait upon you as their strength (Isaiah 40:31) and help them to trust in you completely wherever they go (Proverbs 3:5-6). Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen.
