Love never brings fear, for fear is always related to punishment. But love’s perfection drives the fear of punishment far from our hearts. Whoever walks constantly afraid of punishment has not reached love’s perfection. (1 John 4:18)
Over the last several weeks, I have noticed a distinct increase in hatred towards women. I have heard of women being intimidated, shamed, and enslaved by fear.
So, today I would like to pray for those women who are feeling oppressed, confused, unwanted, and who need to be rescued by God’s love.
Your love is steadfast towards those women who are afraid, unsure, and who need your comfort. Please remove the structures of fear that hinder them. Help them to find shelter, and rescue them from every influence that seeks them harm.
Instead, bring in your perfect love to drive out fear. Remove their garments of shame, and cover them your garments of praise. Delight over them with your singing. Rejoice over them with songs of freedom and deliverance.
For You, Lord Jesus, have come to set them free, and He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36)
Help them to walk out their freedom in perfect love. When you open up prison doors, you set the captives free, and they are no longer obligated to return to their former enslavement. Rather, You nullify the terms of their bondage, and you release them into your covenant love, through faith in Jesus Christ.
So, please gather each woman under your tender care. Guard them with your love. Surround them with your comfort. Speak to them with your reassuring voice, and lead them forward into strong, life-giving relationships.
P.S. If you are one of these women, then please seek out Jesus of Nazareth, for He is your forever friend. You can open up your heart’s door to Him because His love has no end. You can trust Him completely, and lean on His strength to keep you safe. Follow His leading, anticipate His direction, and be lead by His Holy Spirit, into the freedom that He has for you. Amen.
