As you move into 2018, I pray that you will find favor in the Lord’s sight. May His wisdom help you to navigate through what lies ahead while remembering the valuable insights you have gained through trusting in Him.
Allow His peace to guard your heart and your mind, as you make your requests known to Him with a thankful heart. Make room for His rest whenever you feel depleted, be enriched by His love when you feel overwhelmed and be diligent to seek His refuge when you need to get away.
Be encouraged, as you trust in His presence, and seek to follow in His ways. When sadness and grief disturb you, then lift up your voice in worship, so that He can change your perspective. If fear enters the picture, then call upon His perfect love to remove the fear, and any punishment, so that He can complete you in His love.
Stay close to God by using a devotional that will help you to learn His Word. Take time to hear His voice, so that you can be reassured of His presence. Allow His kindness to heal your hurts, and His comfort to soothe your pain. When it’s difficult to be, then turn to Him, so that He can delight over you with singing.
As you unload your burdens before Him, remember to take His yoke upon you, for He is gentle and humble of heart, and easy to learn from. He knows that your greatest weakness is His strength. He understands your frame, knowing that His power is made perfect in your weakness. His grace is sufficient for whatever you are facing, and His mercy remains new every morning.
You are His child by believing in Jesus of Nazareth. Stay rooted and grounded in His love, so that the abundance of His life and the fullness of His fruit will reap a good harvest. By connecting with Him, and remaining in Him, you will be able to bear His image, the image of the Son of God who loves you, who died for you and who knows you as His own.
Be blessed as a child in His kingdom, both now and forevermore. Amen.
