Restoring Your Path

on your feet

This prayer is designed for healing and restoring your walk with God.

Lord Jesus,

I want to walk with you, and to get to know you as my Lord and Savior. Forgive me for seeking my own way, and resisting your way. For you are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father, but by you (John 14:6). I ask for your grace and mercy to restore me into the kingdom of my beloved Father, forever.

I choose to restrain my feet from every evil way, so that I may keep your Word (Ps 119:101). Teach me your Word, for your Word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path (Psalm 119:105). As you guide me with your Word, may I continue to acknowledge you in all my ways, so that you will keep my path straight (Prov 3:6).

You call me not to walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! (Psalm 1:1). This path that seemed right to me only lead to death (Prov 14:12). Thank you for bringing me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay,  and setting my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm (Psalm 40:2).

You promise to keep me in life, and you will not allow my foot to slip (Psalm 66:9). May you deliver my soul from death, indeed my feet from stumbling, so that I may walk before you in the light of the living (Ps 56:3). You are the Light of the world, so let your light shine in me declaring your goodness and your favor to others.

Thank you for saving me, for paying for my sin in full, and restoring me into a right relationship with my Heavenly Father. I will be forever grateful for what you have done. As a child of God, you call me your own, for you rescued me when I was lost and could not find my way home. To you be the glory, forever and ever, Jesus! Amen.
