Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5:13-16)
Heavenly Father, we pray for those who are in trouble, help them in their time of need. We also rejoice with those who are happy, may you rejoice over them with singing. For those who are sick, may they invite the elders of their church to pray for them. Let the elders anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord Jesus, and may their prayer offered in faith make the sick person well. If they have sinned, may they be forgiven of their sins. Therefore, may we be encouraged to confess our sins to one another, and pray for each other, so that we may be healed. We are declared righteous through faith in Jesus Christ, and our prayers are powerful and effective to accomplish God’s purposes for our lives. Amen.
