An Atmosphere Of Healing

healing

Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. (Proverbs 16:24)

As you look for healing in your body, you can ask Jesus for His words of grace. His words are soft and gentle, and they are soothing to the soul. They cause you to be still, and to know that He is God. His words of full of life, rest and peace, and they are exactly what your body needs to recover from any sickness or injury.

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. (Proverbs 17:22)

Fill your heart with things that bring you joy. Let His joy be your strength, and allow the Holy Spirit to fill you. Jesus is your great physician, and in His presence there is fullness of joy. Your spirit can be revitalized, and your bones can be renewed with His life. Receive His joy, and let your body rest, to bring you to full recovery.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

Jesus has been pierced for our transgressions – breaking the law – and the curse of Adam and Eve’s sin. He has been crushed for our hostility towards God. His payment for our sin has brought us peace with God, and the peace of God.  His punishment, on our behalf, means we are healed by His wounds, for He died to set us free.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus,

May you be gracious to me, as I receive your grace and rejoice in your favor. I pray that you would create an atmosphere of healing all around me. May I repent of any known sin, and rejoice in you, for you are my God and my Savior. Thank for your finished work on the cross, and dying for my sins. You have set me free, and I am so thankful. I look forward to receiving your healing for my body, knowing that your grace is sufficient for me, and your power is made perfect in my weakness. To you be all the glory, honor, and praise. Amen.
