Forgive me for hating myself. For any negative words I have spoken over myself, and any harmful things I have done to myself, I ask for your forgiveness. I also forgive those who have hated me, and done hurtful things to me.
You Word says that you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (Psalm 139:13-14). Therefore, I align myself with your Word, and celebrate the person you have made me.
Help me to move from self-hatred to loving you with all my heart, mind, and strength, and loving my neighbor, even if I have difficulty loving myself. Focus my mind on things that are good for me, and let me acknowledge and repent of words that cause me to stumble.
I choose to receive your love through you Son, Jesus of Nazareth. Thank you for sending Him into the world to die on a cross for my sin. He came to save me and restore me into right relationship with you. Let your love change my mind, my heart, and my behavior, so that I can truly enjoy my relationship with you as a child of God.
