I’m tired and I need rest. I feel weary from being busy, and I need your help. I seek you as my refuge, for you are my hiding place, and I will find rest for my soul.
I choose to be still and know that you are God (Psalm 46:10). You know how to calm my heart, and you can still my soul. Its because of you that I can stop, lay down, and experience the peace of God. Your peace passes my understanding and it guards my heart and my mind. Therefore, I need not worry, because you are in charge of everything.
I choose to return to my rest, oh my soul, for the LORD has been good to me (Psalm 116:7). In repentance and rest is my salvation, and in quietness and trust is my strength (Isaiah 30:15). May His Spirit rest on me, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD (Isaiah 11:2).
May your Son, Jesus of Nazareth, be the center of my life. Forgive me for any ways I have not surrendered to Him as my LORD. For from Him, and to Him, and through Him are all things. For all things originate with Him and come from Him; all things live through Him, and all things center in, consummate, and end in Him. To Him be the glory forever! (Romans 11:36)
Thank you for helping me to live and move and find my being in Jesus. I choose to stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it, so that I will find rest for my soul (Jeremiah 6:16). I choose to listen to you, and follow your direction, so that I can enjoy abundant life with you.
