Soaking In His Peace

Father,

My own anxiety is weighing on my heart. Would you cheer me up with a kind word?

I choose to cast all of my cares on you, and believe that you will sustain me; for you promise to never let the righteous to be shaken (Psalm 55:22). Help me to acknowledge what I am struggling with, and to surrender it to you.

Your Word says that I cannot add a single hour to my life by worrying (Matthew 6:27). Forgive me for holding onto this anxiety. I try to manage it as best as I can, and I think about it frequently, but it does not bring me life. Thank you, Jesus, that you have come to fulfill your purpose by giving me a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10b).

Please remove all of the cares and concerns resulting from this anxiety. Remove the distress over my mind, and calm my body, so that it beats with the flow of your love. Father, you know what I need, so I choose to seek first your kingdom, and your righteousness, knowing that your provision will be given unto me (Matthew 6:33).

Father, thank you for being able to share my concerns with you. I love you! Amen.

Memory Verse:

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
