I come to you in pain, and I feel overwhelmed by it.
I know that my help comes from you, for you are the maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2). You are my refuge and strength, and you are always ready to help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Therefore, I present this request to you, with thanksgiving, knowing that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
Thank you for comforting me in my times of trouble, so that I can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort I myself receive from you (2 Corinthians 1:4). Even though I walk through this dark valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me ( Psalm 23:4). You give strength to the weary, and increase the power of the weak (Isaiah 40:29), so I will hope in you, knowing that you will renew my strength (Isaiah 40:31a).
Thank you for comforting me in my pain. I choose to rejoice in you, my God and my Savior (Luke 1:47).
